I'm a Minneapolis based photographer who loves impromptu tattoo dates, making any surface into a dance floor if the music is poppin', and saying "omg cuuuuute!" too many times while taking photos. My fav part about being a photographer is the connection I get to make with the people I work with and knowing that the galleries are a true representation of who they are.
Set what a photo may look like aside... I am a firm believer that it's actually the experience behind the photo that can make or break it.
In other words, the only thing making you feel awkward in photos is the fact that you just don't feel comfy... it's not you. Getting a photo taken by a friend is waaaay less pressure than getting it taken by a pro, and that's what I want to be, your friend! You are getting more than just a photographer out of me.

Vanessa is truly everything you think you need in a photographer and a million other things wrapped into one of the most incredible humans we've ever met.
I struggle relaxing, especially around new people, so I was so worried our photos would come off stiff and awkward. Within 5 minutes of meeting, we were laughing so hard (those double chins came out in full force). We originally chose Vanessa for her editing style (we loved the high contrast, black and white vibes). I told her I was interested in the blurry pictures that are all over insta and she executed it perfectly! Our wedding day went so smooth thanks to her! She kept us on track but also never told us if we were on time or behind, she made sure to keep us in the moment and not let us worry about that stuff! Vanessa was such a joy to work with from the very beginning. I knew I was drawn to her work and that she would provide beautiful photos for our wedding day, but she really makes the day feel comfortable and goes above and beyond. Hiring the right photographer was a high priority for me and I wanted to make sure I was making the right choice. I knew right after my initial call with Vanessa that she would be the perfect choice. From the initial call, getting our gallery back, and everything in between, she made every step of the process seamless and enjoyable. We got our wedding sneak peeks back so quickly and I was so surprised by how many there were! I literally cried because of how much I loved them. Our friends and family also RAVED about them as well.
